I haven't seen Lisa Eldridge mentioned on this site. Anyone interested in actually learning makeup tips that are extremely helpful & tasteful, watch her videos. She is a real makeup artist & is just amazing. Her video quality & lighting is the absolute best! She also has a blog that is interesting; it shows a gallery of the work that she has done & the celebrities that she has made up for photo shoots & red carpet events. The only other youtube gurus that I've seen come close are Pixiwoo. She's my favorite by far!

Good call ! I love how she even uses drugstore brands, despite being a famous makeup artist and obviously having access to a load of products . Her giveaways are also amazing

She was one of the leading Makeup Artists behind Boots No. 7, which is a great brand and the quality is stunning.

I love Pixiwoo, too, but Lisa explains her techniques so extremely well; her looks reach out to the everyday person, and as stated above her lighting and video quality has to be the best I've seen.

I also love her voice! It's soothing, but not in a way that it'll make you fall asleep out of boredom.

She's absolutely the best. Really, it's such a privilege for anyone into makeup the opportunity to watch her tutorials.

Lisa has made me want to work on my makeup skills; specifically making my bronzer & concealer look more natural. She makes it look so effortless. FABULOUS!!

I love that her looks are modern ! She mixes with different textures, doesnt use tons of eyeshadows, it's simple but always beautiful, modern and chic !

she a professional of decades. i watch the gurus for personality as much as makeup and lisa is kinda stiff, all professional. but thats fine once in a while, to get the knowledge. i also like watching what real girls are wearing and how they wear it. another thing about lisa is that she uses all kinds of brands, from drugstore to high, high end.

Can't rave about her enough she has the best foundation technique. evar.

I like her style in providing the idea of using the lipstick. Also she can explain clearly the step-by-step procedure on how to do it.

i might even like her better than pixiwoo. i love that she works directly in the fashion industry. she knows her shit. she does everyday looks with minimal products... i hate tutorials that use like 5 different eyeshadows. it looks tacky and gross. all her looks are chic and elegant. she has so much class. her voice is great too and she's always humble.

Her tutorials are really great and fun. I enjoyed most of the time listening on her voice in Youtube. She's not boring and I feel relieve when I learned about her tips. Thanks for that.

she is amazing, the quality of her videos is perfect, lover her voice, the passionate way she talks about make-up, how honest and nice she is. she is 5 stars. totally. would love to hear her talk about her make up collection. She shown it on one of her videos, she has make up from decades ago, she collects make up for reference and all, would love to see it and hear her talk about it

I didn't like her Bronzed Summer Look tutorial. She looked haggard (like not naturally haggard it was the weird skintone) and sallow. (sorry)

I think the fake tan thing was masky and orange. I'm surprised by the lack of dislikes because if it was anyone else they wouldn't be getting away with it i.e michelle phail or bliar.

I also didn't like her latest dramatic green tutorial either. I know that colour isn't easy to wear but it was just.... so ew. like too much of a block colour. It really needed to be toned down.

I think her tutorials seem to lack something.

oh and her lighting washes her out. Shes like a 120 in mufe hd which is actually sort not that pale. (its light but its more of a yellow beige light tone) at least definitly not as pale as she appears on camera. (i thought she would be 117 in mufe based on the lighting) (anywayy....)
None the less, although I sound like I hate her because ive criticized her. I actually do like her tutorials very very much. I wish there were more of them.

yeah she's not perfect, but you can always learn something from her.

I do think she does try to do many different looks and some are better than others. She is not a MAC trained robot who just does the old smokey eye, blend out
the carbon in the crease and bronzer looks.

that green eyeshadow was a bit over the top, but it's not easy to pull off...and remember she is a bit older but still looks good. it was a more playful look.

She's God's gift to womankind:) I am completely in love with this woman and have learned a lot from her. I think she and a handful of other makeup artists are the only true 'Gurus' on youtube. She really wants her audience to learn and you can feel her passion for her work in her tutorials. btw she was did a lot of work for sheisedo and Suqqu. The folks at Suqqu gave her 5 brushes (worth a ridiculous sum of money) as a giveaway to her viewers. anyways can't say enough about her....... and isn't her voice very soothing and lovely.

The fact nobody has anything bad to say about her just proves everything. I only came across her today after watching JuicyTuesday's most recent video. I can honestly say she is definitely one talented young lady who deserves more credit than what she is being given. She deserves everything she's got and she is definitely going to go far in the future!

If it wasn't for this forum, I would have not found Lisa Eldridge's blog and YT channel so soon. Someone had actually mentioned her in another blog comparing her to another known celebrity makeup artist. Anyway, Lisa is a breath of fresh air. I love her. I love her signature style. It's youthful, it's flawless, it's simple, and it's timeless. It suits me well. She has taught me so much about makeup. I mean, I know other gurus have gone over some of the things she talks about, but she explains it in a way so you understand it better. She is a great teacher and she is so passionate about her career. I am surprised she doesn't have more subs than she currently has. I do however, am noticing her name being dropped more here and there though. I suppose her target age group may appear to be 30's +, but I do hope the younger girls take to her. They could really learn from her. She is just all around awesome.

I actually like the Dramatic Green one. haha I think I'm the only one! I am surprised that she has been working with makeup for 21 years; she looks so young, as if she were 21! I love her accent, too! Thank goodness I found this forum; I'm subscribed to her now!

I think we are lucky that she makes videos. She is so down to earth and love her personality!! She should give out lessons in personality traits and professionalism... not just makeup.
