I am seriously disgusted at these two. I was subscribed to Kate a while ago, when she actually made skits with Caitlin and before moving to Cali and I watched The Mean Kitty channel once in a while but I unsubscribed last year right after that costume thing she had at Blizzcon. I watched Cory's wedding live and I had known about his channels and, although I never subscribed to him, I was up to date with him and Steph's story. I remember watching the proposal, the song he made for her and other stuff... everything seemed so beautiful and nice! Then after the wedding I kinda didn't watch much and all of a sudden... they got divorced!!! WTF??? They had been together for so long and then they didn't even last like 2 years married. In the video Cory made, he said they "wanted different things"... that sounds so shady to me, especially since Kate had been living with them for a while and they were so freaking "close". I know it's none of my business or anything like that but I strongly believe that Kate had something to do with this on some level.

It was very clear from her videos that they were more than "friends". Anyone who believes otherwise is seriously deluded. My guess is that he waited exactly ONE YEAR to make it official with Kate because everybody knows that had they said it before everyone would have been like "WTF? You just got divorced dude and you're already dating?". I think they really planned this all along and people were stupid enough to believe their "love story". How does it happen that you have been in love with somebody for many, many years and then decided to call it quits for "wanting different things" (not because they stopped loving each other, HE said so) and then a few months later... TA DA! I'm in love with my best friend whom my ex-wife let me get into our house and live with us!!!? Steph must be *thrilled*.

And even if they had problems before, I find it so disrespectful that he just "happened" to fall in love with his "best friend". Please... they had been friends for a while but it wasn't until Kate moved to Cali when maybe he realized he felt something more towards her and with all that physical activity going on between them, it wasn't really that hard for him to just be a douchebag and act like most men do.

Plus, can someone explain to me what the hell has he been doing that has been "different" from when he was with Steph??? He said he wanted different things... He hasn't done shit! He just vlogs with Kate for all we know. He has done very little "projects", if that and to end a marriage just because he wants to play on YouTube seems very immature of him, so yeah, Kate and Cory are a perfect match.

Very disappointing. Very. Evil or Very Mad

I unsubscribed from her vlogs today because I am so sick of her constant calorie and gym talk. Good for her for becoming healthier and what-not, but all she talks about is her bloody calorie intake.

I know!! And to make it even worse, she points to her camera and tells her subs to "not eat this, don't eat that".... "Make sure you do this, make sure you do that"... "If you are going to eat a chocolate bar now, eat less of something else later"... "Do butt exercises in your chair right now while you are watching my vlog". I was like wth? For somebody who is all about "being yourself" she sure does like to preach about what people should and shouldn't be doing.

I'm on a diet myself but I don't like to tell people what to eat or not. I'm in no way a doctor or nutritionist or anything like that and neither is she, so I don't understand her constant need of telling everybody what to do or how to live. Her holier-than-thou attitude is ridiculous.

A friend of mine told me that in one of her latest videos she was complaining about something YouTube told her of one of her blogs having a copyrighted song and that all of that vlog's money would go towards the artist instead of her and she was flipping out about it. I haven't seen the video but I think it's ridiculous of her to act this way, if that's what happened.

Yes, she was pretty angry, but I wouldn't say she was "flipping out." I think it was more about the fact that vlog in question didn't actually have the song in it at all, so I could understand being angry over that if she did nothing wrong but YT was giving the proceeds of that vlog to the artist because of their own error.

What I did not understand is that in the vlog where she was explaining what happened, she played a snippet of the copyrighted song? I mean, won't the proceeds from that video now go to the artist as well? confused

I feel really bad for Steph. None of us know the details obviously, but in that Truth video Corey said they separated in Jan of 2011 and the divorce became official in the summer. He was calling Kate pretty and beautiful on camera in October and November of 2010. Could you imagine your husband calling somebody that in your OWN home, to somebody who is living with you, in front of 1,000's of people?? I have a feeling Steph started to get pissed off and instead of Cory understanding, he just didn't want to deal with her anymore. He knew Kate was going to be there long term and he had someone to act like a 2 year old with. He's in his 30s! He seems like the type of guy to do whatever he wants and then run from the problems he causes. I really don't like him. I also didn't like how he used he's a "traveler and a filmmaker" as an excuse for his divorce with Steph. In his video from a few years ago, where he talks about his life, he says how Steph was so understanding and how she was there for him through everything. He said he knew he couldn't let a girl like her get away so he asked her to marry him. Now all of a sudden they are "two different people" and he's a "filmmaker". LOL! He is not a man in my eyes.

Kate is just annoying to me. She's ALWAYS preaching to her subscribers.. telling them not to do this or that and shaking her finger at the camera. It also really annoyed me how she made an Amazon wishlist! OMG, that was like wtffff to me. She's always talking about her subbies are too nice, and she's mad at them for sending so many things, but yet she was making a wishlist! Then all the forever alone guys are making comments about how she doesn't realize how beautiful she is and how she has this power over guys to send her stuff bc of her beauty. Ummm, if she's making a wishlist then she does realize she has power over them, lol. A big reason why I was watching Kates vlogs was because of her friends in England and Steph. I stopped watching most of her vlogs after Feb of last year because Steph wasn't in any of them anymore.

It was so annoying how everything Steph liked Kate would call "evil". 2 examples that she went on and on about: coconuts and rabbits. She tells her subs how much she loves animals and how even puppy mill puppies need love bc its not their fault they were born in a mill, but yet she calls rabbits evil and says they scare her. She would also tell Steph how much she hated Stephs bag. Like wth? She wore the same A&F hoody and ripped jeans for literally 4 days straight, admitted she wore the same stuff bc she hated clothes shopping, but yet she felt comfortable to tell Steph how much she hated her bag? She just seems so immature.

In my opinion her and Cory are a perfect match. I'm kind of glad that now Steph has the opportunity to meet a good guy now.

I knew Kate and Corey would get together within a month of her living with them. I'm wondering if Steph made that comment about "people believing everything they're told" because of Kate and Cory's so called "love story". Also, she seems upset that people are crediting Cory as the sole owner of SMPFilms, I would be too if I were her.

This whole "story" just doesn't feel right.

Even though I find her annoying a lot of the time, I watch her videos every now and again because I was a fan. Yesterday's video (Innocent Girl Gets Arrested?!), I felt really bad for her. She got arrested for "shoplifting." She got distracted and walked out of a store while still holding a pair of sunglasses she'd been thinking about buying. According to her, the security guard just grabbed her by the arm and yelled at her, like he didn't even verbally tell her to stop before putting his hands on her and cuffing her. If that's true, I hope that guard gets fired. You're supposed to approach, and go "Excuse me miss, but you need to pay for those." People who were distracted (and not thieves) would look down, notice the merchandise, and go back and pay. Shoplifters will run, then the guard can use a little force to bring them in. People will argue "He's just doing his job." Well, he didn't do it well. Hell, he could have tapped her on the shoulder first to talk to her before putting on the cuffs.

I once walked out of a Macy's holding a bracelet I'd forgotten about and the guard who approached me was very nice. She even joked saying, "I know that's on sale, but not that much!" I was embarrassed by my absent-mindedness, but at least she just talked to me, instead of grabbing my arm and terrifying me before I could realize what I'd done.

I haven't been liking her videos lately much either, but I watched the vlog and felt really bad for her, too. That's really sick what happened. The fact that she has a criminal record now and will get arrested if she goes back into the store seems completely ridiculous since it was obviously an honest mistake. That mall security guard was on a severe power trip. I really hope she hires the lawyer and the court sees that it was a mistake and clears her record. I'm glad you didn't have a horrible experience when it happened to you! I find most guards would be polite about it and not jump to accusations (especially if you're not running away, like you said) It's a shame she got one of the bad ones just looking to feel like a big man.

To be fair, my neighbor is in security, and every. single. shoplifter. ever. has the same story. "I was going to buy them!" "I didn't know I had them!"

Do I think she's innocent? Yes, 100%.

Do I blame the security guard? Nope.

a similar thing happened to my friend and I. She was looking at purses and had it in her hand along with her own purse. As we walked out of the store and into another store, the lady came running after us yelling that my friend still had the purse in her hand. My friend was extremely apologetic and told her she simply forgot she was holding on to it. The lady was a little mad but she was understandable because who in their right mind would steal something and hold it in their hand and just walk out casually for everyone to see? That's my point with Kate since she was just carrying it in her hand, the guard should have been a little bit more understanding about it. But those mall cops know they aren't taken very seriously so of course he had to make the situation even more than it had to be.

Not being rudee, but do we know 100% that she "walked out with them in her hand"?.
No she dosn't SEEM like a person who would shoplift, but you never know... Extremely rich people do it and they have no reason for it they CAN pay for it-It's some kindof disorder. But I mean like we weren't there with her and she wasn't vlogging walking out of the store with them in her hand and the security guard tackling her so we can't just assume she is telling the truth. She probably wanted sympathy or was worried it would be published in the news and wanted to make up a story. I don't think she did, but we're all assuming she is telling the truth right off the bat and bashing this security guard and everyone's fighting a huge war against JCP about this without hearing both sides of the story.

I DONT think she did it purposly, but I'm just putting it out there, you can't be too ignorant about these things =p

The LP officer doesn't know kate at all. All we know about Kate is what she chooses to tell us. THE LP OFFICER HE WAS DOING HIS JOB! She walked out with merchandise she didn't pay for. He stopped her. She has to go to court. End of story. He did his job.

At court she will have a chance to plead her case. Maybe the judge will believe her and let her off.

Like somebody else just said, police officers and other people in law enforcement hear the SAME STORY over and over. I wasn't speeding. I was wearing my seat belt. I wasn't drinking. I wasn't shoplifting.

That LP officer has literally heard her story 100's of times. It sucks for her if she WAS telling the truth, but at the end of the day she walked out with unpaid merchandise. We all have to learn things the hard way sometimes.

She should have been an adult about it. She should have vented to cory and her other friends. I have lost so much respect for her by making a vlog of her crying her eyes out and acting like a baby. She has made all of these young kids on youtube hate that LP officer. She should have been mad at herself, nobody else.

OMG! She's crying about it again!!! This is like the 3rd vlog now where she's crying about it. So annoying!!!!! Maybe if people would stop telling her how "wrong" the LP officer was and that she should SUE for emotional distress, should would stop acting like such a drama queen about it.

I agree, to an extent. We weren't there so we really don't know the way it all went down but he was just doing his job, maybe he was rude or not, who knows? People have to be careful about what bloggers do and say because they're just random people like everybody else and we really don't have proof of what happened to her. Officers do get a lot of those stories and just because she told them she was gonna pay for them doesn't mean he had to believe her. It's sad for her but she broke some rules and she's learned that the hard way.

Here's the thing about social media. She posted all of this crap, and now people are up in ARMS against that LP. She says she saw him out in public and he was just staring at her, and then she says she felt like he was going to HURT HER?! If I were that guy I would be totally pissed that I was doing my job, and now someone is trashing me all over the place. It's not like HE has a YouTube to tell his side of the story. It's times like this I am glad I am anonymous in the world.

Ok so at first I didnt wanna believe the rumors, like wth do we know we are not close to them or anything. BUUUT after watching the video when she got arrested, the part she was talking about it and crying, Cory was kissing her back like her shoulder. First of all, the only people who do that besides maybe your mom to comfort you is your partner, my bf does that. I never had any guy friend ever do that maybe a hug to comfort you but never have I heard of a guy who you are "just friends with" kiss you on the back regardless of the situation thats like weird. So I dont know about you but I have it confirmed they are together little things like that say a lot. I tried to like her and see it as a youtube thing like they were working together to make it more interesting or something but I go way back to the Steph days and I guess I will always see Kate as a little home-wrecker. I was a fan of smpfilms and the cory who was with steph. That's obviously over now so I unsubscribed. I don't support crap like that.
