Teen Beauty Looks!
You're thoughts? I can't stand when she mentions that you can just curl a few peices of hair around the face and that it looks "cute" and "done". That looks so dumb. I always laugh at girls who have curled their hair and it's stick straight in the back.

Teen Beauty Looks
What did you guys think? I thought all the girls in the video ended up looking the same. I get that Megan's trying to make them look neutral for school, but there are more neutral colours other than bronze. I use light silver or white, light green, or light pink, nothing too dramatic. And again, she put eye shadow on a couple of the girl's creases which I think doesn't look that great, at least when Megan does it. She should just stick to the lid, she isn't the best at blending. She should have made a different look for each girl. I did like the hair looks though.
And what was with the photographers? Were they doing some kind of shoot for a magazine (Seventeen), or maybe it was just a school/local magazine?

I hate how she thinks those girls were "different people", they were all the same skin tone. It's sad how segregated friend groups still are.

Re: Teen Beauty Looks!
The looks were pretty similar.
The execution of the looks was horrendous. I know she is not a make up artist but even I could do a bet job. This girl has no concept of blending!!
I actually thought the 3rd look was a bit heavy for a girl that age.
I'm on the verge of unsubscribing. She just bores me.

It is sad.
They also all had the same skin type (clear) which isn't a surprise since they are young but still you can't say they are "different" Megan if they are all pretty much the same.
They also all had straight hair. Whether it was naturally straight or not doesn't matter she still did hairstyles on straight hair.

And I thought all the girls looked ten times more beautiful before she did their makeup.
They all were naturally pretty.

Re: Teen Beauty Looks!
I'm confused by this video....
I'm not sure if it's the same in the US but here in Australia girls in 7th grade are only 11 or 12 years old, so they're not even "teens" yet, so that kind of defeats the title of "teen beauty looks".
Also, there was no description about the video so the whole time I was watching it I was just thinking who are these girls?? Why is there camera flashes going off?? Whose room are they in?? Why is she using 7th graders?? I dunno, it just felt like one big product commercial to me...

Truedat.
Girl can't blend to save her life, either. She basically did the same look on all of them. I don't understand why she's so in love with curls.

In the U.S., 7th graders are typically 12-13 years old. So, it makes sense, given that a lot of girls start wearing makeup at around that age.

Exactly my thoughts. Since its teen beauty looks maybe she could have also used a model with more troubled skin to put into the tips section (I think that's what it was called) to show how to conceal without looking cakey. And maybe a tan girl and a deep skin girl because well, she said they were different skin tones but I'm not seeing it O.o

The looks were the same as always: champagne/gold, bronze, neutral. On the 3rd girl, it seemed like all Megan did was pack on the crease color without even blending it slightly. It looked ridiculous on her, because she looked very young.

Exactly. They were all gorgeous, none of them need makeup, especially in 7th grade.
In the last part of the video, Megan did "simple tips and tricks" talking about shimmery neutrals, black eyeliner, and curling hair. She was doing the exact same thing throughout the entire video...sigh.

I agree, girls do not need to be wearing that much makeup (if any at all!) in 7th grade! Let them be kids for just a little bit longer, geez!

It must vary by state. Do different states have different age restrictions for school?
I know that I turned 16 as a sophomore, as did the majority of my class.

I think it depends more on when you were allowed to start school (based on your birthday and age) than the High school. For instance, when I was living outside the U.S I started pre-school at 3. Then when I moved here I had barely turned 4 years old and put back into pre-school because of the age requirements for my state. To enter kindergarten you have to be at least 5 years old by the start of the school year (which for us is typically July/August and almost always right after my b-day). So I graduated at 17, was a junior at 16, sophomore at 15 (well you get the point). However, my little brother's b-day is November, so he couldn't start school until he was 6 years old.
I think the whole thing is stupid, if the children are ready for a school setting then let them start

When I was year seven I owned 3 cheap nailpolishes and one lipgloss that I wore out on weekends, these girls don't need makeup or to curl there hair it's ridiculous !

IDK if these girls wear makeup daily, but this might've been like a dress up thing for them..idk.
Either way I liked it.. but Megan is the only guru I really like..I do wish that she'd do a person with darker skin, and maybe someone with tons of freckles (redhead? idk) and someone with bad acne.. that is what jr high is all about for lots of people.

IMO they all looked the same -_-..I know there suppost to be nuetral for school but the poor execution of it made them all the same.
I still think that's a little bit to much make up to wear if your playing sport. I usually only wear mascara and lip balm, I still want my lips to be moisturiesed. But eyeshadow? I don't know...
Really the only make up I wore when I was in year 7 was lip balm, but I guess to each their own.
