Blair passes out?

ok in this video she explains how her, and girls in her family pass out sometimes...am i missing something? does this happen to anyone else??? i think that's dangerous, i mean what if she passed out while driving?? please tell me your thoughts on this.

If anemia runs in her family, it's possible that they tend to pass out during their menstrual cycles (which would explain why it's generally the women who pass out). She looked pretty pale in that particular video, and the whites of her eyes look a bit off (they often have a bluish hue with anemia), but that's probably just the lighting. It could be a number of other things, too, but that's one possible reason.

It could be many things. I actually had a spell a few years ago where I kept passing out, despite maintaining a healthy diet/exercise/sleep routine.
After going for some testing (never finished my tests-so it's still not 100% diagnosed) my doctor decided that it is likely Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (or POTS).

I would become incredibly dizzy and then lose all control over my sense and pass out for up to 5ish minutes. When I came to, I wouldn't know where I was, I wouldn't be able to see, and I temporarily lost my ability to speak. It was incredibly scary.

However, as I said, I've never formally been diagnosed with it. It's also kind of stopped for me. I get dizzy spells every once in awhile, but nothing like what was happening.

Point is, there's lots of things that can lead to it, anemia is more likely though. It's probably wise to go see a doctor (people never listen to their own advice-do they? I just hated going for all the tests)

I believe Elle once said on twitter that she passed out, so maybe there's some truth to it. I'm no medical expert though so I have no idea what it could be.

That said; she is so normal in this video! It's a shame to see what money and greed does to people.

In the past, I had severe anemia (resulting from a vegetarian diet and really heavy menstrual periods that would last for two weeks out of the month), and I never once passed out. Maybe it is an issue with blood pressure. A lot of people who have blood pressure issues pass out. I don't know. I'm not a doctor, so it's hard to say.

There are hundreds of types of anemia in addition to varying levels of severity... so if, for example, your ferritin levels is something like an 8 (which my mother's was, at one point), most doctors will be amazed if you're even able to stand. My iron level is slightly low because of a vegetarian diet, so that hardly makes me feel faint or fatigued.

That said, my anemia guess was just a guess - it's not like we really know anything about their family medical history. Just pointing out that it could be something very simple.

That isn't normal. She needs to have that checked out. Lol, on that video, I couldn't help but look at some of the hilarious comments xD

Well in some of the videos that they don't do comment pending approval, mean comments will get in and won't get deleted.

my sister passes out alot but she has hypoglycemia (has to do with blood) im sure they do not have this though because it is pretty serious sometimes my sister is not allowed to drive or live alone

i think they're hypoglycemic. not bad enough to stop driving altogether, but i do remember her saying she has to eat something sweet first thing in the morning.

I have no opinion on the passing out thing, but I love love LOVE this Blair. I love her accent, her silliness, her ditziness....its just classic Blair, and I miss her. Now she's a completely different person....

i miss how she'd talk about school, and her friends, and what she was doing for the day, and she actually did helpful tutorials then. so sad.

Same! I mean, I like the color navy blue itself, but I would never paint my room the color. I suppose the room could have been cute, but I have no clue because she NEVER DID A FUCKING ROOM TOUR. Once again, they didn't do them. Instead they did sponsored videos that no one gave a shit about.

She always talks about how her Twitter followers have SO much input on what her videos will be about, but she hardly ever listens. She just posts sponsored videos that somehow tangentially relate to her requests (oh, you want a spring/summer style guide? here's a sponsored Essie video! oh, you want a "follow me around" vlog? here's a random haul full of products I got for free! skin care video? buy this new $200 device that I got for free and haven't even tried yet!). She'll also tweet 10 different updates on any given day about how she's working ~really hard~ on filming and editing, yet no video appears for days...

Psh, she's probably spending so much time and "working really hard" counting all her money she gets from companies.

im sorry to hear that! can you drive alone or live alone? how badly does it effect your life?

The passing out thing was why I always thought she had the birth control. I never got why people got so mad about it. I always thought she was using it because of this passing out thing and how it's the girls in the family who pass out, so yeah, I thought it had something to do with that.

Also, this isn't the only video she mentioned this in. I actually remember her mentioning passing out in another video (pink room I think) where she passed out in the shower and hurt herself really badly and how it was the girls in the family who passed out. So she's definitely mentioned it a few times. I think she was apologizing about not doing a video that day, (way back when they were daily) which is why she mentioned it.

I still think it's likely that the passing out is connected to the reason she was on birth control.
