Hey girls, i was just wondering whats the most times youve ever worn one pair of fake eyelashes, i bought this lovely pair from acsessorize but they were like £6 which im not going to keep paying over and over again, ive worn them twice so far, and ill probably wear them again but how much do you think is too much before i should just throw them out ?

I don't think there's really any set formula for determining that... It certainly depends on the quality of the lashes and how well you take care of them. If they look good as new even after a few wears, keep 'em. If there's ANY trace of damage from the glue or if they start to feel crunchy and gross, toss 'em. Make sure you always carefully remove the glue after wearing them, use a small amount of makeup remover if you put mascara on them, and store them in their original holder to maintain the curl. Hope this helps! Smile

It really depends on the type of fake eyelashes you buy. Some are re-usuable whilst others clearly state not to reuse. It also depends on the type of glue you use too and how that has affected the false eyelash itself.

False eyelashes are never a long term investment so you have to decide whether you want to buy the uber expensive ones or the cheap ones. Sometimes there is not alot of difference between the quality of the two.

I find it's more down to the glue than the lashes, if you get glue that comes off easily then it's far easier to keep them looking good. Also keep practising, I don't put mascara on my false lashes or curl them and and I have perfected applying them without eyeliner as I can get them so close to my lashline, meaning they're blended well enough without mascara and eyelash curlers (I curl my eyelashes before applying).

I use invisiband lashes by Ardell, I get them from Sallys at £3.59 a pair and they last between 10 an 14 applications. I wear false lashes every day, I buy about 3 sets a month (on payday) and often I only open a new pack after 10 days because I can, not because I need to as my lashes still look good, almost new!

I use the Eyelure glue (about £2.50) a bottle and they stay on all day until about 9pm when I take them off, I find it comes off better than any other glue I've tried plus its so cheap and a bottle lasts months.

i honestly only wear falsies for one time each, but i only buy the cheap elf ones.
i have a "weird" eye shape, and always cut my lashes.. i usually only apply them on the outer corners.
also, to make them look more real/blend in better, i "bond" them with mascara. at the end of the night i strip em off and i'm good to go.

then again, i only wear lashes for special occasions and not every day.
