Her New Video : A "Hair Style" WTF

Hello y'all!!! How are you?
Have U seen her last video? O.o Ohhhh plisss Kandeeee!!!! This isn't Cute, maybe Messy, not even fun!!!!!
I use that "Hair Style" when I shower and I don't want my hair to get dry so easily..... and this one is better that hers!!! Hahahaha

Some comments claims that their hair isn't long enough to try it.... Oh Plis!!! Mine is ok to tri it on, but i'm consider to cut it off just to get rid of the temptation to try it... O to so something similar.... The next time I get a shower.... I promise I will comb my hair and get a wonderful hairstyle...

Let me just say, I am a new Mom too so I understand how hard it is to find time to shower. Kandee has branded herself as a makeup guru and fashion icon and that's okay with me. I quite enjoyed watching her old makeup and hair tutorials. It offends me and angers me that she is putting this awful stuff online and expecting us to follow blindly. The makeup is awful. Her hair is straight up dirty. It angers me even more that innocent 12 year olds are going to try this hairstyle and makeup look and wear it out in public. Through her half-arse tutorials and obvious disconcern with grammar or even hitting the spell check button once in awhile, she has lost all respect from me. We would rather have 1 great tutorial every 2 weeks than repetitive, poorly written blogs and videos every day. Seems to me she must be feeling a little bit of this "movement" financially and her business tactic is more is more when in fact this is classic case of more is less. PLEASE, hire a babysitter for an afternoon, take a shower, and give us 1 tutorial from the Kandee Johnson I used to watch - before it was all obviously paid for opinions and product pitches... Until then, consider this 1 more follower lost.

Sometimes i think she does it on purpose "ha ha ha ha I can upload such jokes and they still think I'm a genius tee hee!"

It might have been cute if she did them as tiny messy buns instead of big ol' honkin loops or whatever the hell she calls those. o_Ô

I haven't seen the video but I have heard that it's best to do your hair when it's a little greasy because the oil helps it hold better. I think the idea is to wash your hair the day before you style it? That doesn't mean your hair will be dirty, but maybe that's what she was getting at because she doesn't know what the word "greasy" means?

ive heard the same but i dont think people should be able to look at your hair and see its dirty and that it LOOKS like it hasnt been washed

im sure she was meaning to say what you said but all of the picture and videos we have seen lately - her hair looks oily and dirty and unwashed

personally i have to wash my hair everyday because it gets SO oily if i even go one day without washing it

I was always taught as soon as you apply any product to your hair, i.e. gel, hair oils, mousse, shaping lotions, the hair becomes "dirty", creating the dirty look without being dirty.

I had a stylist I worked with years ago that insisted I wash my hair the day before the big day and not the morning of. I showed up at the salon for hair and makeup & he damn near crapped his pants. His exact words "girlfriend I said a day not a week". I have fine blond hair and 24 hours looks like I slept in a towel of olive oil. That makes for a challenge for any stylist trying to create volume....so, product, product, product AND wash the hair during your shower!

Ugh what a dirty woman! Gee Kandee, you are the first germaphobe I've ever come across who keeps her hair FILTHY.

That is not the hairstyle I'd expect a 30-something year old mother to be wearing...

While I was reading your replies (Thank you a lot!, It's the first topic I've opened!!) I remember a video where she explains and recommend a Basic Kit...
Apart from the MUF camouflage palette, which was awful!! (I don't mean in quality... but in bad condition) Her "No labeled" M·A·C palettes (She admits it's a pain in the ass, because she doesn't know which range of colour contains each one)
She also talks about "your business cards" but she dind't show one!!!! hahaha
"Everything you need for a shoot... But I have a larger one" with all the stuff put in order... But she didn't show it either!!!
Arrrgh!!! The vitamin case with "mixed" lipglosses!!!

And the worst: Chicklets... Bubble Gum! WTF! "Bacause I'm close to other people face" O.o Ohhh please!!! Go and brush your teeth!!! Sometimes the chewing gum smell is awful!!!

I'm studying Make Up... And when I'm doing the day's make up.... I pay attention to all the details.... And my breath is one of the most important.... But chewing gum in my model face it is not an option to me....

Actually in Bobbi Brown's "Bobbi Brown Makeup Manual," she recommends having mints in your kit. It is actually listed on page 168 as an "essential extra," and I couldn't find the exact paragraph, but she does explain why somewhere in the book that it's because you are working so close to people's faces. So it's not just Kandee.

That being said, someone chewing gum in my face is annoying as hell. I'd prolly end up punching Kandee if she were my makeup artist, because someone smacking gum, especially in my face, is one of those things that just drives me up the frickin wall. Use mints to avoid being punched by a client. XD

Yeah! Totally agree with BB!!! It's wide different having mints in you kit to have chewing gums!!! I mean... mints in your mouth and that's is... they do their job just having them under your tongue... You can still talk and nobody will notice you had one!!!

Oh good! Glad you knew to bring mints, I shouldn't have assumed you didn't know, but I read your post and was like...oh noooooooooo, please bring mints! Haha. Agree, they're much better in these cases.

And if you feel uncomfortable with a piece of candy in your mouth while trying to talk, mint sprays are always a good option.

Kandee doesn't use mints unfortunately. From her own videos, she says she chews gum (packets and packets of it). One of the Glaminar attendees was complaining that she chewed gum the whole time she was speaking. I can't find the exact post...but it's on here somewhere.

I don't think having makeup done by Kandee is a very pleasant experience. Being caked in foundation and MAC Smolder while a gum-cracking, greasy haired, feathered lady is in your face isn't really my cup of tea.

OH! Another good bad breath fighting tip: brush your tongue along with your teeth after eating (or when you get a chance). Clearing up all the white buildup improves the natural breath. And then pop in a mint!

What if spit comes out of your mouth while you chew?

I'm like an obssesed girl...This is what I carry in my bag (With my make up kit )

When I have a chance... I go and brush my teeth....
And, of course, wash my hair.... hahahahaha

Yeah, gotta be careful of what you eat too. Certain stomach pathologies can give bad breath, and if you don't eat well, you're just enhancing the problem, not only in your mouth but also in your hair and skin.
