Lisa's perfume choices

Post  PinkCupCakes on 31st March 2011, 10:36 am

I have tried so many of her perfume recs and I have been disappointed with every one of them! They all seem to be in the same family. That New West perfume? BLECH!!! The Leslie Blodgett perfume diaries Santa Barbara? Smells just like New West. They smell so so horribly bad. pale I will never again take any of her perfume recs. She has BAD TASTE!

Of the ones I tried, Bobbi Brown Beach and E Lauder Bronze Goddess - I can join you in that observation. My hubs did like them either.

Just received my Sephora order and I can add the fragrance called Boyfriend to the above two. NO! To those gals that like it, wear it in good health!

Please do not base your liking a fragrance on my crude negative review. I mean if you like it you do and that's very cool. I'm more talking about how she talks something up to the moon and for me on more than one occassion it was awful.

So B Goddess away (but I'd try it first) just sayng. Have. You tried any of her fragrance choces before and found you liked them?

Someone actually sponsored her to do a perfume channel about a year ago! I couldn't believe it....Lisa knows absolutely NOTHING about perfume! She couldn't even describe the notes or accords. She sounded like a total idiot. I don't know what happened to that channel but it was laughable lol!

I have been finding it very difficult to get a tester anywhere as it seems to be a seasonal product. It wasn't just her that liked it, quite a few other ladies I am subbed to do which is why I was willing to give it a try. To be honest I haven't heard of most of the perfumes she raves about lol

Lisa's not fit to wear Great Fragrances! I See Her Wearing Jean Nate and Exclamation!

And she's certainly not capable of giving an intelligent review. She doesn't have the knowledge, nor does she have the vocabulary. But, go ahead, Lisa. Give it you BEST shot!

"Smells wunnerful, and like, kinda springy and such."

That's the best she could do, in my opinion.

Fragrances are very very personal. It is easy to recomend a lipstick. But everyone reacts to a scent differently. It may smell good on you, but suck on someone else.
At least Rhonda helped her expand her tastes a little bit. Rolling Eyes

I say give it a try. I love it! It is seasonal and I heard they have a new version of it coming out this Summer. I first heard of it from Katie Puckrick(you must see her review for BG) I didn't buy it because of LLD1 but because Katie Puckrick gave it a great review.

Here is Katie Puckrick's review on Bronze Goddess among other fragrances. LLD1 could never do what this woman does. Like a Star @ heaven

Agreed on the personal side of choosing a perfume. It's unreal how much shit Rhonda has sent that phony, she could never use all of the samples and full bottles up. Let alone the makeup. Did you see that damn cube full of crap? You know that's not all of it.......someone like her..please.

Last time I went to Sephora, I smelled The Leslie Blodgett perfume diaries Santa Barbara and Boyfriend parfume...and, as well as E. Lauder Bronze Goddess at Sears. Oh My God, I would not wear them if they paid me.

Last two I got was Calvin Klein Euphoria and E.Lauder pleasure....I love both of them. Now, Euphoria is expensive and last time I went to Sephora, my husband was with me so, he paid for it Smile Total of hundred bucks with tax. Pleasure I think was around $75.00 with tax. As lisadumbass would say " And, I love it" bom

Watch her beg Rhonda to send her some. Razz

SJ, after you geet your Lauder BG and find that you love it - you may have found a signature scent. Hundreds if not thousands so love it. I was hoping for something that said Coppertone in a beautiful way lol. Same w/ BB Beach, where's the beach?

You has a good idea in asking SickofLL what she likes as a guage. I like Chanel #5 and Coromandel. SJP Lovely and YSL Paris... I could fill a page of what I like and have (like most of us I'll bet.) If I could only pick two, they would be D Karan Chaos and Black Cashmere. I Don't know if this is helpful.

I did receive two samples yesterday from Sephora, Boyfriend and Anniston. I have to say, they had many similar features. The top middle and bottom dry down all had healthy doses of amber and a woody accord. I resampled Boyfriend and while I feel it's missing a certain something - I withdraw my previous NO! comment.

I love Lovely and covet, Philosophy's Grace scents, I also love Tova Mind Body and Spirit and her original signature scent. They are all quite different but I love a clean crisp scent as much as a floral and thought a scent of the beach sounded nice I will have to try and get to a store to sample a few.
