He did a video today about the tsunami in Japan that got me teary eyed, I won't lie. Sure he talks as fast as Blair sometimes and makes the jokes but it's videos like that, that make me appreciate him more.

I haven't watched that one yet-but in general, I love Phil. I've been watching him for about 2.5-3 years now. He does a good job of mixing comedy with news.

I'll have to watch his tsunami video soon.

not subscribed to him, but his videos are always on the homepage so i've ended up watching quite a few of them. i like him, and his videos are actually interesting, not complete crap.

I've recently lost interested in watching his sxephil news channel but that tsunami one did get me going! Am I the only guilty one to say that he's my only source of news that I follow? Hahaaa.

I do enjoy watching his PhilipDeFranco channel thought because it's so fun to watch his interaction with his staff. Matty and Sebastian! You can also see him growing immensely as a person through his vloggitys. I can say that I have learned a lot through his personal life experience and lessons that he offers in his videos.

He's hilarious.

Wow. That video made me tear up, as well. It started out completely normal then took a very serious turn.
My respect for this guy went WAY up.


Everyone should watch it. Stick with it all the way through. There's one story he tells that really puts things into view after one line.

Haha you aren't the only one to say that

Sometimes I watch sxephil, but it's entirely for entertainment. Rys2sense's channel is the closest I've found to intelligent, down-to-earth, no nonsense opinions of actual news. Downside is rys2sense isn't as charming as phil, and he treats christianity horrendously. Good thing I don't watch him to learn about God.

I love his videos. He does come off like a douchebag sometimes, but he's actually a really nice dude, very humble.

Thank you for posting that video. I have actually taken a break from watching Phil. I am still subbed though. I did not watch that video until you posted it. This is why I love watching his videos. Yes, he can full of douchbaggery sometimes, but it's the heart to heart moments he has with his viewers that makes me love him. He is a great guy.

i don't even know where to begin to explain how annoying i think he is.

i can't pick on his personality because i've only seen like....3 of his videos. if that. so i'll just leave it at this.

Love him He's the only guy youtuber who's videos I really look forward to watching.

One thing that I really like that he's doing is the 30 day Netflix thing. I mean, I've only watched a few of the movies but I think it's a great way to interact with the viewers. I also appreciate that he is completely up front about his sponsorships.

I've been watching that too cause I already have netflix... I thought it was a pretty cool idea.. I'm just kind of sad he's only doing it for a month

I can't believe he was a Bio/chem major in college, and threw away that money to start his Youtube career. I wish I was that bold.

^Whoa I didn't know that! At least he has his college career to fall back on once his Youtube career starts dwindling. He's actually been on Youtube for like 3-4 years now, and he's still super popular, so good for him. Like I said, he's actually a really humble dude, so I don't mind his popularity. Unlike douchebag RWJ. cough.

But yeah dude's making bank, over 100k a year easily.

Exactly why I like him. When it comes down to it, I truly believe that he feels he is no better than anyone else. And I have absolute no problem with his paycheck, or his sponsorships-because he doesn't hid anything.
He takes the time to sit down and vlog about his life when he's down-and tells his audience he needs a break instead of just going on hiatus (I mean, it's not required of anyone, but to me, this shows consideration).

I also love seeing him interact with his dogs, his friends, and Lindsey. He definitely seems genuine to me.

I didn't know he's been on youtube so long... Why that heck doesn't he have his own TV show yet? lol I'd watch it!

just read his article on Encyclopedia Dramatica, he isn't as nice as you imagine him to be. Phil is no different from Ray William Johnson, Stealing articles/videos and making a profit and cheating Google for Adsense money. phil is very charming to watch and he makes me smile, especially when he can't keep his own face straight when he tells a joke HAHA <3 :')

his girlfriend kind of scares me. she comes across as one of those girls who, if she's friends with you, is super sweet but will fucking K-I-L-L anyone that she has the slightest problem with. i remember her tweeting really bitchy things on twitter about girls who tried to dance with phil at a club or something. instead of being secure and laughing off girls who try to hit on her boyfriend (which she should if she knows that he clearly would never pursue them) she turns into TOTAL BITCH MODE.

i find him boring..don't know why people like watching him

Yeah Encyclopedia Dramatica shouldn't be used for anything other than mere entertainment.. But anyway I really only like watching his videos to hear about the news. Haha I usually read about it on fox news, but Phil talks about like BAMF's of the day and I like hearing about awesome people so yea. He does seem like he'd be a douche bag, but eh. haha he's not terrible.
