michelle was so awkward with the scripted dialogue in the beginning of the tutorial. she made me uncomfortable just watching it

oh...one more thing....he doesn't even need makeup. he looks fine without it. the lighting probably picks up more of his blemishes but so what. i feel like this video was unnecessary/a way to make more money.

Aside from the intro and all that stuff, the actual make up was a bit surprising.

Curled lashes and mascara isn't really a male rock star look if you ask me. Way too feminine. The clean finish on the waterline looked too feminine as well, it should have been more smudged. She could have concealed his blemishes and contoured his cheekbones for a more gaunt/chiseled look. I really don't know what she was thinking with the whole thing. This is the only video of hers that has actually compelled me to post on here about it, because it just misses the target by a good mile. I will say though that it's good to see her branching out and trying new things, but she could really have thought it through a lot more. Another massive signal she does not have enough professional knowledge.

Next time I'm out make up shopping I'll keep an eye open for men buying eyelash curlers and mascara... you never know.

Does she have a lip infection? because every time I see her doing that lip bite its ridiculously funny. Michelle, you need to go to the doctor and get that checked out asap, before you eat your lips completely. LOL

Well, just watched the video...The makeup application was...Not that bad...She could have left off the mascara and the lip stain but what HONESTLY saved the whole video was that the guy could sing. He can sing.

i was there to witness the whole process of all the comments up till she disabled comments. i was the first 10 to be there to leave cmts hahaha

anyway, basically everybody was trashing her about how this style of video sucked shit and she's too fake and how this video is far from being a tutorial but just a video of she putting make up on a guy.
then a lot of people also talked about how the guy in the video is a jerk because he gets pissed off when ppl don't know who he is and when his fans don't say hi to him. michelle phan replied that person and said sth like "no he's the sweetest person on earth!"

and during that time when people were still able to rate, the proportion of the ratings were like around 468 thumbs up: 328 thumbs down

i was pretty surprised at this proportion of rating because usually thumbs down would be less than 10% of the thumbs up
