Re: The white eyeliner makeup trick
Well in pictures and certain angles, it can open up the eyes. Maybe it only works for some people? It worked for me. A lot of people use this trick, definitely before they heard it from MP.
Either way, I'm not sure if this should be a thread on it's own. It's more of a general discussion thing, since it's not really about MP?

The white liner can look pretty harsh for those with darker skin tones. The way MP applies it is slathering on as much as you can, since she desires for BIGGER, WIDER EYES.
Stick to peach and lavender. I can foresee MP using lavender on the waterline to perk up tired eyes. Let's wait and see.

I prefer a peach color for the waterline if I want to make my eyes look bigger... looks a little more natural.

Re: The white eyeliner makeup trick
I have both: white and peachy eyeliners, and to me they show some difference.
The real tip, to me, is to match it with the rest of your makeup (if I'm going for golds and warm tones I use the peachy one, if I'm using cold colours I use the white one) and not cake it... it should be subtle!!
Amd thanks for pointing out the lavender one, might try that one too, I have hazel eyes and I like to pop the green out as much as I can

The white eyeliner on the waterline looks ridiculous on me, and I'm about as fair as you can get without being albino. White around the tear duct works, but the waterline, not so much.
I use lavender or a light plum liner just to bring out the colour of my eyes.

I use this trick. Its a very common trick that is used to wake your eyes up. I think I heard it first from Tyra Bank

Re: The white eyeliner makeup trick
Hm what would lavender & peach color eyeliners be suitable for besides matching eye shadows?
Say for instance my eyes are a blueish-greenish color & my skin tone is fair with hints of olive (yellow & pink) undertones. What light color eyeliner is suitable for me without looking too obvious while wearing it? I already tried white and that was a big NO, unless I apply a light amount, but white sometimes doesn't look right on me anyway.

I've tried both white and peach and white looks a bit weird on me. Michelle goops it up all over her waterline and it collects on her tear ducts and it looks like she got a huge chunk of eye boogers
Peach looks a lot better on me because it's not as harsh as the white eyeliner.

MU-Geek uses Stila Topaz and it looks nice on her and not too obvious.

Not to sound ignorant but what exactly is the white eyeliner trick you're all referring to? I've been wanting to know for a while.

Basically you take white eyeliner and line your waterline with it.
It's supposed to make your eyes look more open.
I'm wearing it in my avatar. Kinda makes me look more... Ethnic.

Looks cute! Maybe I'll give it a try just to see what it's like now that I know.
