What.. the. fuck.

Sidenote, I guess her name really is Laura.. doesn't fit her whatsoever so I could see why she doesn't call herself that-- when I picture a Laura I think of Lollipop26, not OMGHHKP GUISE I'M BLAIR FOWLER

I'm pretty sure the trademark is just for the use of a product/service they plan on setting up in the future with the name. For example, they could each be planning/hoping to create a company like Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, but instead Blair Fowler/Elle Fowler Cosmetics. They are utterly ridiculous. Neutral And I hope I never see the day that happens...

NO. That page on that website specifically says that it was licensed/filed by SCOTT FOWLER (their father) for Lisa and Laura Fowler!

I think anon. was asking how they could get a trademark on the name[s] if there is possibly a person out there whose actual name is already Blair Fowler or Elle Fowler.

& I guess I'm not up to date with the Elle/Blair fake name scandal, because I thought (pretty sure I read it on unk0wncritic's blog) that their names were Elizabeth & Lisa. So it's actually Laura & Lisa?

^ Yeah, Blair= Laura Elizabeth and Elle = Lisa Sylvia. But apparently Blair does go by Elizabeth in her personal life.

So...my fiance's last name is Fowler. When we get married and have a kid...what would happen if I wanted to name my kid Laura Elizabeth?

They should've trademarked OMGHHKP or their usernames.

People can have the names, you can't trademark things like that and sue people for having them. They trademarked the names for commercial use.

And they trademarked "Elle Fowler" and "Blair Fowler" not Elizabeth or Lisa or Laura or Pinecone, etc. etc.

I can't believe this.

I have wanted to make product reviews on youtube forever because I always thought it'd be fun to just review things I like and give my opinions on things, but if I did now I'd be associated and compared to these girls. I don't want to be anything like them, or be as dishonest as they are, but I just don't even want to be associated with them. It's sortof a bummer.

I know exactly what you mean. Now if you start -- everyone will just assume you're doing it for the money, and start hating. The world is already corrupted, and people like them are adding more corruption to the only thing that seemed like we could escape it from -- the INTERNET.

But you know what, you should still continue because it doesn't matter what they do. We NEED people who aren't them, that can give us HONEST reviews and opinions. We need people like you Smile

Aw that's really sweet Smile Maybe I will - I've been thinking about it a lot lately, and it has been driving me nuts! I considered blogging, but I feel like people don't really read blogs very much anymore because of youtube. My mom has also been trying to convince me to do it lately since I always recommend products to her. I am definitely interested - it always bugs me how gurus typically only review products they like or love, and if they don't like a product they shoo it off to the side or just describe very vaguely why they don't like it. But thanks for your encouragement that's very nice of you! I'd definitely welcome the guru gossip girls on my channel lol Smile

people can name their kids whatever they want
this is really to stop people/companies using their fake names without permission, and like someone said if they want to use them for products etc down the line

I think someone should post a comment when she is uploading a new video. because at the beginning, the comments are not on approval.
you could say "nice video, LAURA" or something like that :')

sorry, I don't speak English very well o.o

They only put "father of Laura Fowler" because just in case Blair becomes famous one day, that is the name she will give out. Blair is a LIAR, remember? She says she goes by Blair is real life and has never gone by Lizzy. But we've seen all the evidence that is not true.

She probably put Laura because that's her legal name, if she was just putting what she wanted she would've put Blair. And who knows if she went by Lizzy. Just because her friends called her that doesn't mean she ever considered it her name. If my name is Amanda and my friends call me Mandy, it doesn't mean I go by it, it's just a nickname, I'd say I go by Amanda.

There is proof she went by Lizzy. There were screenshots of her myspace. Someone also found her real facebook and she had her name as "Elizabeth Fowler". Once she found out people knew about it, she immediately changed it to "Blair Fowler".

And she said her friend was the one that set up the myspace. So what's the big deal? Have you seen her birth certificate? You don't know more than anyone else. Believe what you want to believe, but stop spamming the same message on every thread.
