Omg watch this video! he deleted it and someone put it up cause they "happened to download it to watch it later". It's something he uploaded on his iphone. he's chewing on a straw, he's in LA, acting strange...you just have to see this. oh and i've said this before...i know i don't know shay, of course i don't...but..i used to do drugs off and on years ago (i haven't for years) and i feel like i can spot the signs (unless he's bipolar lol) but i could be totally wrong...but i just feel like he's showing the signs that i used to show when i was on coke . The all of the sudden "omg look at this" and i know he's high strung in general, but the man has a straw he's chewing on and he's away from his wife. I bet you that katilette (i dunno about when she was younger) wouldn't touch the stuff, i get that feeling. But i get the feeling that kassem and all of those people would.

and i just bet he came down some and deleted that video when he came to the realization that he looked totally high.

He seems kinda weird and highly strung...but isn't he always that loud and crazy? I mean I hope he wouldn't do anything dumb like heavy drugs, he has such a sweet family it'd be sad to do that to them.

someone pointed out to me (which i didn't look) that his pupils weren't big so i could be wrong. I just thought he was acting more strange than his usual self. And the fact that he took it down shocked me cause i'm not used to him taking down videos. Also, I don't trust the station one bit (i know shay is normally sober). So...I probably overreacted. And being away from his wife ...well...I thought maybe he went wild or something. But I don't trust the people at the station...especially since shane and phil kind of up and left for some unknown reason. But I think shay probably had a drink or something (which is no big deal, just saying).

Ok can we not fight here and just give opinions? I think i posted something on this before...but it was in the guru section if I did. Anyway...I noticed there are lots of times with gurus people will say 'I can't believe she put her kid on the video, that's horrible!' or something to that effect. I don't get it. I feel like everyone loves the shaytards but look what they do? they completely exploit their kids. I mean I used to love them and I think katilette seems like a nice woman but shay...he's a different story. I admit I will see him say things to his son that seems very moral but then i see him throw his kids around and it's bad whether he catches them or not one day he might not. And the exploiting thing...well he not only has them in the videos constantly but he puts them as thumbnails all the time. He's just asking for perverts to watch his videos. There's a lot more but that's just a few things that bug me. Anyway i know i'll get hate for this but i'm just curious if he bugs anyone else but he has so many fans and i wonder if people that get on to gurus who show their kids for one second (like sardun who i bash too but not for that) like the shaytards.

Shay is starting to bug me too.I also feel that he is exploiting his kids and isn't appropriate around them.Somethings he says make me cringe because his kids are there.By the way didn't his wife look fugly when she was in high school.She has improved with age although I think she is abit of a doormat.

Honestly, I love watching the Shaytards but mostly just for Katilette and his sister, CarlieStyle. She's hardly in them anymore though And I do think it's pretty stupid how everyone always gushes about how STUNNING Mommytard is. Um...she's average. She's kinda dorky actually...I mean she's cute but that's about it. It's clear that a lot of males watch Shaytards, lol.

I actually really enjoy the Shaytards. The kids are becoming little stars, themselves, and Sontard is stinking hilarious.
As a mother, I don't really see anything wrong with so-called "exploiting" the kids. They are all having a great time and now have something very neat to look back on. Not only that, look at all of the amazing things that Shay has done for those kids that he couldn't have without YouTube.

As for the saying things that are appropriate, every video I've watched of his he has never said anything that a Disney movie wouldn't. Yes, he has innuendos here and there, but he's never cussed. If you watch the newer Disney movies, it's the same thing... Got to keep the kids AND the adults entertained.

I feel that people love the Shaytards because they are an honest family. Every time someone tries to "call them out", they respond and give an honest answer, even if it's to the effect that yes, they are selling out, and why shouldn't they? They have kids to feed and if they found a job not only making great memories for those kids, but being able to stay at home with them all the time, I can't fault them for that. Hell, I would definitely jump at the chance to do the same, if I could. It's TERRIBLE going to work and leaving my little guy at home, so if I could sell out to be with him all the time, I'd do it in an instant!

Oh, and regarding Mommytard and how Shay gushes about her... Wouldn't you like your husband to do the same? I think it's sweet. And honestly, she's very cute considering Shay. I'd be gushing if I was him, as well. Not only is she cute, she has a great personality and is stinking SuperMom with those kids.

Kudos to both of them.

The ShayTards aren't gurus, they're a YouTube personality. This section doesn't say "Nothing to do with YouTube". It's just my opinion, but I think it's an appropriate place for this thread.

I don't really see how anyone can hate the Shaytards?! They seem like a truly incredible family who put their life on the internet for millions of people each day. Could there be perverts watching their kids? Yeah. But a pervert is gonna do what a pervert is gonna do. If he wants to stalk/whatever a kid, whether a video is on YouTube or not isn't going to stop him. And there are a million more supporters than nonsupporters, supporters that help bring in the money that maintains their lifestyle -- one that's pretty great, I might add. From the beginning of the project, we've watched them get increasingly more well off, and I think that's great. They truly are a family that deserves the best in life. I've never seen so much love shared between a family. Someday those kids are going to love going back to those videos and seeing their life and how much their parents and even strangers loved them. I wish I had videos like that of my childhood to go back and watch.

I confess to sometimes watching the Shaytards. Earlier I watched their Christmas video. Dad Shaytard is funny especially when he breaks into his ridiculously hyper African-American jive talk (what's that about anyway?!) They have a cottage industry going on youtube....it may work or they might just make a serious mistep into the direction of the tragic Richard and Mayumi Henne (Balloon Boy Hoax).

I actually completely see what you're saying with this.
I sometimes watch them and get worried some stalker might end up at their door, or something else may happen with the kids, but I've never thought about if they end up losing YouTube. I'm really curious if taping your life everyday can have the same effects on kids as a reality show (Kate Plus 8 style). I've read an article where a lot of those kids on reality shows get severe insecurities early on. I highly suggest that Shay NEVER let those kids read the comments when they are old enough. That could really wear down on one's self-esteem.

i think they are one of the few youtube partners who keep it real i mean think about it they don't throw there money on foolish things and they don't spoil there kids either.

And also i think the kids enjoy camera time they are all trying to get in the footage princesstard might want to be a vlogger herself one day considering that she vlogged twice

I hate when they use their kids to make money.. when I found out about them I was watching their daily vlogs..I didn't even realize they had a "comedy" channel..which is the furtherest thing from funny.

I don't hate the Shaytards, I actually like them... but I do wonder about how long Shay's gonna be able to keep this up...I mean the kids are gonna grow into bratty teens, "child stars" if you know what I mean. They already are aware of their fame, people come up to them in the street calling out "princesstard! babytard!" they got extremely spoiled this Christmas (did you see the excessive amount of gifts under their tree...quite different than last year!!) and they watch videos that fans make for them on YT. It's just all a bit surreal. I think they're going to crash and burn when they realize that they will need to grow up and WORK for money and get JOBS.

Another thing I don't really like is how little Shay seems to do in terms of helping out Mommytard. It seems like she puts on a brave face but really, she's very stressed and worn out. Their house is always a mess and she seems to cook, clean, get groceries...all that stuff and Shay hardly ever helps her. He's too busy "vlogging". It's a little weird when your online life takes over your real life, no?

Again, I'm not a hater. I continue to watch them...these are just my opinions.

I absolutely adore the Shaytards, but someone here was talking about how this taping the kids all day could effect the kids the way reality shows do. And when I am reading the comments, there are just people saying terrible things about the kids! I have no idea how they have the heart to do that! I mean, the oldest one is only 6! I really hope Shay is careful with them reading the comments, because they are just amazing kids (and an amazing family overall) and this def. could destroy their self esteem at this early age.

And yeah, may be Shay should be a little more careful with exposing so much material online for everyone to see, because I once heard the family yell Sontard's real name, and when Carlie was in tv once, he tried to cover the last name with an annotation... But in general, I love what he is doing! His job and still be around his kids all day! I love this family and I don't think anything can change my mind about that. (chéésy, haha)
