sure why not but now a days I'm not surprise she is in any magazines. If it talk about her differently compare to the rest of those magazines she was in than it maybe interesting.

It basically says she's a pioneer for beauty gurus, how popular her videos are based on views and that she's got a deal with Lancôme. Nothing new. Another raving from another magazine. Bleh.

I don't mind the magazines that talk about Michelle. She never looks fresh or youthful in the pictures, anyways. Just another thing for her to cringe at in the next five years. (:

Notice how her looks never get featured on anything other than teeny bopper mags? They just feature her as a blogger on high end fashion mags. They don't feature her looks because they suck. I wonder how she got that Micheal Kors deal? Perhaps Lancome helped.

That dress is just not flattering on her. What was she thinking? Again she has no taste in style and this picture just make her look fat.

She's copying Kevyn Aucoin here and there! The brushes and everything! There was a BlogTV session when she first moved into her new apartment in Florida and did a quick session before heading out. She was talking about Kevyn Aucoin and then boasted about being given something, a lipstick I think, that he once used. Some of her tips like line your waterline and then closed eyes tight to transfer to the upper line yada yada... those were taken from his books. I know because I own them too!

I can't stand her mentioning his name here and there. The moment she said she's releasing brushes from her ICK-EWW line, I know the obvious!

Thank God they didn't airbrush her elephant legs!

Air brush she doesn't even know how to use air bush makeup. She is not even a real make-up artist. She can't do shit. At least some of the other youtube gurus actually know how to use air brush make-up.

I'm highly pissed that they called her the next Kevyn Aucoin. And you know that line about her hiding out and reading his books is BS because she clearly didn't learn anything from him! That is a magazine I will never buy again

I really don't get why people are praising her so highly... and comparing her to Kevyn Aucoin?? We know she gets a lot of hits on her videos and is a living billboard whore for Lancome...
But I just want to know one thing... WHAT HAS SHE DONE THAT IS SO REVOLUTIONARY TO THE MAKEUP INDUSTRY??????? All she's done is record herself spackling on make up on her face!!!

Obviously, Michelle. You need to BEGIN to put on makeup. Then you're in the MIDDLE of putting on makeup. And then you're DONE putting on makeup. Um, no kidding?

When I go to school, it pans out like a story as well. I START by going to first period, then lunch is the MIDDLE, and then I END the day with sixth period. When I'm working out, it's like a story, too! I start by getting on the treadmill. After a half hour, I'm in the middle of my workout, and then after an hour I'm at the end! Wow!

Want a semi-rant? I hate how illiterate Michelle is. She reminds me of the girls at my school who comment on people's Facebook pictures with, "your pretty" "your cute" "can u go to there house tomorow?" Those girls can't spell to save their life.

First of all, what the eff is she wearing? That's got to be one of the most ugliest dresses I've ever seen in my life. She looks like a big blob in that. Also, her legs look like elephant trunks.

It's just insulting to compare her, someone who has NO experience doing makeup on someone else other than herself, to someone who has worked with famous people and is actually TALENTED. When I read the caption saying the next Kevin Aucoin I almost spit out my soda instead I choked so Michelle Phan being compared to this makeup god almost killed me lmao. Now that is tooo over the top with comparisons she's more like the next girl with a video camera. This is so bogus and for her to mention his name and that she has been reading his books since she was a little kid is bullshit.

Kevin (bless his soul) must be doing cartwheels and extreme yoga in his grave, to have some mediocre wanna be makeup artist allow herself to take his name and rub it in the dirt. It pisses me off. Yes she got the job with Lancome yes she steals ideas from his books and yes she does lame makeup looks (cant blend or apply color properly)... lol
someone please buy her a color wheel because that artistic side of her is going south the evidence is in the views. Her perfume video isnt even past 800,000 views and its been 3 days. So her popularity is fleeting.

I looked up for Kevyn Aucoin videos as well as magazine articles. This man was amazing! One of his main beliefs was to make his customers feel comfortable with their own beauty. Makeup was only a medium for them to discover themselves. I don't see that in Michelle. She doesn't seem to truly care about others unless you throw her more money and buy her IQQU products. Would she climb down from the high pedestal and practice her makeup on others for free? I don't think so. I get the notion that she will only put makeup on: 1) herself or 2) a paid event. No wonder why she lacks of a diverse portfolio. Also, I don't think she has a genuine desire of immersing herself into makeup artistry. She mentioned about going back to illustration in her latest BlogTV. It's obvious that she doesn't know which path to take.

By the way, Aucoin used to date Jed Root! Michelle became one of the makeup artists represented by Jed's agency.
