Ah, I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed. The first time I watched one of her videos I confused the paintings they had hanging for Tom's work... it seemed a little off to me. But then I learned it was her dad's stuff. haha

This is a review that sums it all up for me.

"Peter Stanick is sort of a low-rent Tom Wesselmann. I might have been impressed somewhat by Peter's work if I hadn't just seen Tom's; instead I found the work derivative and -- let's just say it -- easy. It's pretty clear Peter works from photos; his final designs remove the details leaving that flat Pop Art look but without any real flair. Where Tom evinces a sense of fun, Peter feels a little seamy, a little Playboy Advisor illustrationish. There's some Patrick Nagel in there but none of Nagel's skill with line. This is not to say I thought Peter's paintings were bad. I liked them. They just didn't excite me much. If he moved away from the photos, maybe, and added something of himself, then I might have really enjoyed his work"

I read that review of PS' work as well. He is a low rate "artist" imo. He is flat and blah. The inspirations are like a bad 80's Miami vice episode.

It may be just me and I've never seen anybody else comment on this, but, I for one would be completely creeped out if my father was always doing paintings of sexy, scantily-clad (or completely naked), busty ladies. ESPECIALLY if I was as busty as L is.

Just, no. Not something I'd want my dad to be interested in. I know, I know, it's "art" right? Still.....

I have since the day Lorraine started making vids with all his disgusting tacky "art" in the background. I find it tasteless, tacky, loud and pornographic. GROSS. I have no idea why ANYONE would want his shit hanging in their house!!

I never liked the painting she had the background, you know the one of the blonde in the black bikini. I always thought, until she started pimping her dad's paintings, her boyfriend did it of like her.

Didn't she say in one of her vids that the painting in her room, the blonde in the bikini is her? It would be bad enough if a boyfriend did it, but her dad painting it is just gross.

i felt so bad for debbie when he was doing that! how embarrassing, if my husband was acting like that on camera and saying who he thinks is the hottest woman in the world and he didnt say ME I would be sad as well. thats just rude and disrespectful :/

I don't know anything about art so I am don't know if his work is considered good in the art community haha. I don't like it, but what really creeps me out is how much they look like Lorraine. If it was just a straight up portrait of her it wouldn't but its not, its as though he is painting Lorraine and its the fact that she's topless and trying to be soo "sexy" it does. I am not a prude but when it comes to a man sexulising his daughter I'm creeped out.

Glad other people also don't like his art hahaha it's not even good art. There are way more talented people out there who paint beautiful landscapes and to see girls half naked with boobs all out... it's just awkward for an older guy like her dad

I read that he helped design the graphics for the grand theft auto video games. I dunno if it's true or not. I think he's talented...not as good as some, but hey give credit where credits due.

paintings of naked women and people in general have been around for thousands of years.
they aren't supposed to resemble lorraine ( i'm almost positive of it ). i think they are just supposed to resemble a model-like-superficial woman. yes they are provocative, but LOTS of artists take photos, sculpt, and paint artistic nude.

i think it's good that lorraine ( and the rest of their family ) is open to this kind of art. everyone should be. there is nothing wrong with nudity.
